Heavy rains have brought big problems to the downtown St. Petersburg area this month, from flooding to drainage issues.

Now, 10Investigates has uncovered that city code enforcement wants to know if a brand new, high-priced luxury apartment building is structurally sound.

Bainbridge Companies finished construction on 930 Central Flats less than a year ago on St. Pete’s thriving Central Avenue.

Jennifer Moore said her son Joseph was left in the middle of the street after being hit and dragged by a truck.

"Looking and seeing my baby in the middle of the road, surrounded by people that were trying to help him. I thought my worst fear. That my baby was gone," Moore said.

The 4-year-old had just gotten off the bus at the wrong stop and was trying to make his way home.

A man called the police in Washington to say someone just stole his truck, but they say he left out a key fact.

Kennewick Police Department officers responded early Sunday morning to a report of a car theft. They say William Kelley told them someone stole his 1992 red Chevy pick-up truck. However, police found out Kelley was in the area because he was stealing from the store across the street.

A 62-year-old man was arrested and charged on a count of boating under the influence after crashing his boat into another, sending his passengers overboard, deputies say.

It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday in the Intracostal Waterway east of 12th Avenue, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.

What's cuter than a manatee? A baby manatee.

Jeff Qualls says he was "incredibly lucky" to witness the birth of a manatee right in the canal behind his house in Rockland Key, Florida.

You have to keep watching (and it's not too gross): The water is calm and still as mama manatee floats around and then... pop goes the baby just at the surface.

It’s a ruling out of Oklahoma that could ultimately affect us all.

A judge on Monday said Johnson and Johnson is to blame for Oklahoma's opioid crisis. The giant pharmaceutical company is ordered to pay $572 million. The judge backed his ruling with evidence of more overdose deaths and more addiction cases.

Johnson and Johnson says it will appeal.

For families directly impacted by the opioid epidemic, the ruling signals a potential sign of what’s to come.
